Welcome to modern psalm

Modern Psalm exists to shape worship that is both theologically rich and intentionally generous. We believe the songs the Church sings should be deeply rooted in biblical truth—because what we sing shapes what we believe. But worship doesn’t stop with words; it should also lead to action. That’s why Modern Psalm creates music that not only proclaims the gospel and foundations of faith, but also fuels real-world impact, as songwriters commit their royalties to causes that matter.

Worship is more than song—it’s mission.

‘About’ Modern Psalm:

Theology. Generosity. Song.

The Weight of Words: Why Theology in Worship Matters

Worship is more than melody—it’s theology set to music. For centuries, the church has been shaped not only by sermons but by the songs it sings. In today’s world, where believers often remember lyrics before they recall Scripture, the role of songwriters carries a sacred weight.

Every lyric sung in worship has the power to teach, shape belief, and stir hearts toward deeper faith. That’s why writing worship songs isn’t just an artistic endeavor—it’s a theological responsibility.

At Modern Psalm, we believe worship should be rooted in sound doctrine, biblical truth, and spiritual depth. Music is a carrier of theology—what we sing becomes what we believe. Our songs must be more than inspirational; they must be anchored in Scripture.

As songwriters, we are not just artists—we are theologians in melody, shaping the faith of the global Church. Every song should proclaim truth in a way that draws hearts toward God, strengthens discipleship, and exalts Christ.

Worship That Gives Back

Did you know that every time you sing a worship song in church, you generate royalties for the songwriter? While worship songs inspire change, the direct financial impact often stops short of actually impacting the world’s tangible needs.

What if songwriters chose to give their portion to charity?

That question sparked the idea for Modern Psalm—a vision for worship that extends beyond the song itself. In 2015, musicians David Stükenberg and Brian Batch began writing and recording with a creative tithe in mind—a way for worship music to keep giving long after the final note fades.

When they searched for an existing system to funnel these funds toward meaningful causes, they realized none existed. So, they built it.

Modern Psalm exists to bridge worship and generosity, ensuring that the songs we sing not only proclaim truth but also put faith into action.

Modern Psalm: Worship Meets Mission

We write with conviction. We craft with intention. Every word, every melody, every song is an offering—both in truth and impact.
